Windows 11 processor checker

How this works
Microsoft publishes lists of the processors Windows 11 supports. For Intel, the list names whole families, starting with 8th Generation Core processors. For AMD, it names individual models. This checker applies those lists to the name you type.
- Intel Core i3, i5, i7 and i9: supported from 8th generation. The generation is in the model number: an i5-8250U is 8th gen and an i7-10510U is 10th gen.
- AMD Ryzen: supported if the model is on Microsoft’s list. Microsoft also says newer generations are supported even before they’re added.
- Celeron, Pentium, Atom and Xeon: Microsoft lists these by broad series, so use the PC Health Check app for a reliable answer.
